I think that the point of art is to make people feel something, if you can evoke emotion from someone using something that came completely from your own mind it can be a rewarding experience. In the future I might like to get back into physical art because I used to really like ceramics growing up. Being able to make something physical that people can use every day is also satisfying. My drive for art comes from the nature of the practice, it’s not about being the most generic and fitting in, it’s about being unique and weird. There’s not all this pressure that you have to get the answer right because there is not right answer, and everything in open to interpretation.

I’ve been interested in art ever since I was a kid. It’s not something I expect to do professionally by any means, however I find it as a way to relax and work different parts of my brain that my other classes don’t allow for. My interest in digital art began in high school when I took graphic arts and I really became interested in Photoshop. I then went on to design for my high school yearbook, magazine, and website for three years which was a great creative experience. My interests in different decades drives a lot of my design because I love the aesthetic of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. I tend to use a lot of colors and design concepts from that time period. I also love creepy art and anything horror related, I would love to work more in that area.
