I think I want to do a 12 page zine and I want the pages to be pretty small, maybe like ¼ or ⅙ of the piece of printer paper. As far as content, I think I just want to start designing and see if a certain theme starts to develop. I’m going to design as many pages as I can of just styles that I like and hopefully it will evolve from there. The styles that I tend to lean toward are retro, vintage, and psychedelic. I really like the aesthetic of polaroid pictures and VHS videos as well, that 90s look. I have been designing for The Bold at CU as well for the past few weeks and that’s given me some ideas I’d like to work with further in this class and this is the perfect opportunity. If I have time, I’d also like to sew the zine together because that’s how my friends and I used to make zines in high school.
